Due to rapid growth, 5WPR is now hiring an Associate Vice President in our Consumer Department.  The Associate Vice President will serve as senior contact for clients, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and provide specialized expertise.  The AVP will   develop strategy for implementing successful client programs as well as focus on garnering new business.  

 

DUTIES:

 

1.      Serve as senior contact for clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource and counselor to clients.

2.      Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address client needs.

3.      Troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise; seek senior management input when appropriate.

4.      Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of 20+ accounts while driving consistent media results.

5.      Direct and supervise work responsibilities of staff.

6.      Take a leadership role in new business proposal development and presentations; work with account teams to build incremental business.

7.      Help account team(s) work effectively and in the best interests of client(s); maximize agency’s network of resources to enhance client services.

8.      Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials including client media materials, byline articles, client correspondence and reports.

9.      Manage account financials including budget allocation and control ensuring team billability and account profitability.

10.  Motivate team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.

11.  Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others.

12.  Participate in external company promotion through articles, speeches, presentations, professional memberships, etc.

13.  Begin to build a leadership role in outside organizations to increase 5W’s visibility in marketplace and create new business opportunities.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      B.S/B.A in Public Relations or related field

2.      At least 6 years of PR agency experience a must!!

3.      Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

4.      Strong leadership and motivation skills

5.      Proven client relations and supervisory skills

6.      Creative and energetic personality
